Shamanic Offerings at Inner Peace Healing
Much of the Shamanic work I have studied and immersed myself in finds its way into my Intuitive Energy Healing sessions and Family Constellations.
For example, Soul Retrieval – the process of collecting the parts of oneself lost (disassociated) during a traumatic experience, may be incorporated into an Intuitive Energy Healing Session. I use Shamanic Drumming to journey into the Upper World to find and then reintegrate these parts back with the client.
It is through my work as an initiated Stick Diviner in the Dagara Tradition of West Africa that I developed deeper communication with and support from my ancestors. In Family Constellations, this deep support and honouring that I have from my Ancestors both influences and supports the way I work as a constellations facilitator.
In addition to the weaving of the various shamanic tools into my energy healing and constellation work, I also offer Divinations and Despacho Ceremonies and share the Munay Ki Rites.
Divinations
What is a Divination?
Divination in an ancient practice that comes in many formats. Humankind has always looked for ways of receiving guidance from other sources. Tarot and cards is probably one of the more accessible ways of getting guidance. In South Africa, Samgomas or Traditional Healers ‘throw the bones’, in China there is iChing.
At Inner Peace Healing, Robyn taps into the guidance of Ancestors and the Elementals of the Other World through Divination. She works with 2 types of divinations – both from the Dagara lineage. She is an initiated Stick Diviner and Cowey Shell Diviner. This medicine is from Buikea Fasso in West Africa, introduced to the West by Malidome Some.
A Cowrey Shell Divination explores how an imbalance in the elements is needed to bring balance. Stock Divinations take a broader view.
Why come for a Divination Session?
“Our journey is logged at birth but we sometimes get off course. Divination adjusts the course through the help of the ancestors, the cosmos and is aimed at healing and protecting the divinee so that the person’s genius can blossom. Divination happens when there is a problem, something left out, and/or something is out of balance. The solution, the discovery, the reconciliation, and the healing all may come out of the divination.” Malidoma Some
A divination provides a portal to tap into the guidance from Ancestors and the other world. There is tremendous guidance and support in this realm – when we tap into it. Sometimes we have issues that can only be healed with the insight and assistance of those from the Other World and our Ancestors.
What to Expect in a Divination?
Divinatios starts with an invocation to call in the support from your ancestors and the elementals in the Other World. The diviner acts as a channel for their messages to the divinee (the person receiving the divination.)
You will need a local currency silver-coloured coin. (In South Africa we use a R2 coin). Leading up to the divination speak your issue out loud into the coin. Keep speaking out loud into the coin until you have a clear concise statement or question. This intention will be a conduit for information. Please speak this into the coin just before we meet online.
At the start of the divination, you will hand me the coin. (Online we do this with intention.)
You don’t tell me what you have spoken into the coin at this stage.
Bring a notebook and pen to write down any rituals you must do after the divination. A ritual is the prescription for the healing that flows from the divination.
Please complete the ritual within a 3 – 4 week period. Preferably sooner. Rituals must not be done between midday and 3.00 pm. Always offer a pinch of ash before you start the ritual with the words ‘for the deepest honouring and protection.’
Despacho Ceremonies
A despacho ceremony is an ancient ritual that is carried out in the Andes of Peru. It’s a prayer in the form of offerings placed with intention and love in a 3-dimensional mandala. As with prayers, there are many different reasons for despachos but they are always done in a space of sacredness, gratitude and anyi (reciprocity)
I was initiated in June this year in Peru by Kamaq Wageaq of the Sacred Andean Tradition to perform these beautiful ceremonies.
I hold a ceremony every two months in Hout Bay at Inner Peace Healing or at a sacred site.
Please keep an eye on the Calendar for the next date.
