Despacho Ceremony
8 June @ 13:00 - 15:30 SAST

A despacho ceremony is an ancient ritual still done in the Andes of Peru. It’s a prayer in the form of offerings placed with intention and love in a 3-dimensional mandala. As with prayers, there are many reasons for despachos, but they are always done with intention, gratitude, love and ayni (reciprocity) within a Sacred Space. Each of the 42 pieces placed into the despacho has meaning and is placed with intention. They symbolise our relationship with Spirit, Pachamama (Mother Earth), the Apus (mountains), with Nature, the Cosmos and the elements.
Attending a despacho is an invitation to step into a sacred space, to clear and recharge your energy, to set an intention, and feel gratitude for all of your life.
This Sacred Andean Tradition Despacho Ceremony is hosted by Natalie Milne in Melkbos.
Robyn, the despacho priest, was initiated in June 2024 in Peru by Kamaq Wageaq of the Sacred Andean Tradition to perform these beautiful ceremonies. She has been following the path of the Andean and Q’ero teachings since receiving the Munay Ki Rites in 2012.
