The Annual Sacred Andean Tradition Workshop

The Sacred Andean Tradition shows us a way of being and living that brings us back into harmony with life, nature and the world, through consciously connecting to the four elements. Within this state of harmony exists the natural flow of abundance and a deeper appreciation of life.

An annual experiential workshop is held in South Africa each year, usually in the Magaliesburg. These workshops offer an understanding of the profound nature of life and provide invaluable tools to navigate the tumultuous times of Earth changes we are living through. Intensive training is offered over four days on how to carry out these practices, and participants will receive the first energy transmission, or Karpay, from this ancient lineage.

Kamaq Wageag will lead these experiences at various natural sites (rivers, rocky outcrops, sunrises which will enhance the understanding of the transmissions.

Refer to our website www.sacredandeantradition.com

This experiential workshop consists of 2 parts – the Paq’o energy transmission, 26 February to 1 March 2026, followed by the Pampa Mesayoq from 2 – 3 March 2026.

The Tradition

The ancient Sacred Andean Tradition represents the knowledge entrusted to earthkeepers of long-gone ages.

In understanding the cyclic nature of creation, this wisdom would be remembered during times of global shift and would bring forward a beautiful process of reconnection to the universal natural order.

As humanity experiences a word of instant communication, global trade and high mobility, we realise that we are in fact disconnected from ourselves. We are defined by external views of who we are or meant to be or want to be!

As South Africans, human beings living in this blessed land the Cradle of Humankind, we intuitively feel we should be doing something positive. The ancient African principle of Ubuntu should be embraced by the entire world. This is precisely the energetic connection between Africa and the Andean mountains of South America.

The Sacred Andean Tradition taught over centuries that humanity originated in the Souther tip of the African continent. Humans then migrated around the world, as an energetic serpent, and eventually, after completing a full circle of evolution, the peoples of the Andes would come back to Mother Africa to honour the wisdom of this land.

During this time of transition, humans would remember their full value as living agents of existential harmony.

The ancient Andeans received in guardianship the principles and codes to reconnect to Mother Earth.

All these energies were encoded in the Andean cross, the Chakana. Starting with the four directions (East, West, North and South), the four elements (Earth, Water, Air and Fire), the four seasons (Summer and Winter solstices – and Spring and Autumn equinoxes) and the principle of reciprocity, interconnectedness, mutual respect, love and honour that is called AYNI.

Ayni and Ubuntu hold the same divinely inspired energy of human existence: the ‘I am because you are’ principle.

The Despacho Ceremony

The Despacho ceremony embodies the principles and symbolism of the Sacred Andean Tradition.

Each symbolic object in this ceremony carries a specific intent for the health and harmony of the individual, community and planet. It is a simple yet profound ceremony that grounds our visions and intentions and expresses our gratitude for the weavings of energy and spirit that support us in moving forward. It is an act of love and a reminder of the connections we share with all beings, elements, spirits and sacred places. It is a wonderful chance to share sacred space, to clear, balance and recharge your energy.

The South African Community

Kamaq Wageaq has journeyed to South Africa for over two decades, guiding thousands of participants in his Sacred Andean Tradition workshops. A core group of devoted initiates emerge from these workshops to continue sharing these ancient teachings. Led by volunteers who generously offer their time and service, this growing community runs annual seminars and regular Despacho ceremonies. United by their love for this ancient tradition, these leaders embody the Andean principle of Ayni or sacred reciprocity. Although coordinators change over time as lives ebb and flow, the light of Munay – unconditional love and respect for all living energies – remains strong.

Grounded in experience, the Sacred Andean Tradition awakens our intuition. You’ll discover your creative flow as you engage the elements of earth, air, fire, and water.

Some share their talents by developing workshop materids, arranging Despacho ceremonies, or helping behind the scenes. Whether you take an active role or simply integrate the teachings into your everyday life, you’ll be inspired to work with the elements and understand how these natural laws mirror consciousness. This enhances relationships, famiy, work, and your sense of belonging to the great web of life.

Who Is Kamag Wagaeg?

In the Sacred Andean Tradition, it is believed that each person is born with a seed of the Divine within, placed in our chest or heart centre. The choice to grow that seed lies with each individual. The Karpay given at initiation is a transmission that opens a clear channel within us to activate that seed, connecting us to the energies of the lineage and powering the tools that will help us grow the seed.

Kamag Wageaq, our lineage master from Peru, travels to South Africa annually to give the Karpay to South African initiates who wish to engage the path of self-discovery and realisation. He is fulfilling a sacred command and prophecy to bring this tradition to Africa.

Why I’m sharing on my website

I’m sharing this as I have always been drawn to the mystical teachings of Peru.  I have attended this workshop several times.  First as an attendee and then three times returning as Paq’o and Pampa Mesayoq to assist.  I will be there again in 2026.   If the teachings of Peru call you – come.
